What Pans Fit in a Toaster Oven?
The pan that fits the cavity on paper often will not go in, because the number that matters is not the pan and not the oven — it is the gap you have to leave around both. Here is the clearance rule, the sizes that work, and which published interiors take a 9x13.

The answer, first
A quarter sheet pan (about 9½ × 13 inches) is the largest pan that fits the majority of countertop ovens, and it is the size to buy if you are buying one pan. A half sheet (13 × 18) fits almost nothing in this category — that is the size your full-size oven takes. A 9 × 13 baking dish fits only the larger cavities, roughly one cubic foot and up, and only if you check the height as well as the footprint. Whatever the pan, leave about an inch of clear air on every side: the pan is not competing with the walls, it is competing with the airflow.
The clearance rule nobody prints on the box
A convection oven cooks by moving hot air around the food. A pan that spans the cavity wall-to-wall blocks that circulation, which produces exactly the symptom people blame the oven for: browned at the edges, pale in the middle, and slower than the recipe said. The working rule is an inch of clearance on each side, plus room above for the food itself and below for the pan to sit on a rack rather than a rail.

Which of our ovens takes a 9 × 13
Only the ones that publish enough for us to say so. The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro publishes a one-cubic-foot interior and states a 14-inch pizza and a 9 × 13 pan as what fits — a claim specific enough to check rather than a vibe. The Cuisinart TOB-260N1 publishes 0.95 cubic feet with a stated list — a 13-inch pizza, a 9 × 13 pan, nine slices — and is the only oven on this site whose maker puts an interior volume and a wattage on the same page.
The Panasonic FlashXpress is the useful counterexample: it publishes its interior at 7.2 quarts, which is about a quarter of a cubic foot, and that number tells you immediately that a 9 × 13 is not going in. Four slices and a small tray is the honest ceiling, and Panasonic publishing the volume is precisely what lets you rule it out in two seconds instead of after delivery. Its review is here. Where a manufacturer publishes no interior volume at all — most of this category — we cannot tell you what fits, and we do not guess.
Pizza stones: the one thing to be careful with
A stone will fit plenty of countertop ovens on width. The problem is not fit, it is thermal shock. Ceramic and cordierite stones crack when heated fast or unevenly, and a small cavity with elements a few inches away heats a stone far more aggressively than a big oven does. If you use one, put it in cold, bring it up with the oven, and never put a cold stone into a hot cavity or a wet dough onto a screaming-hot one. A steel plate is more forgiving and heats faster, but it is heavy for a countertop rack rail — check what the rack is rated to hold before you load it.
It is also worth asking what the stone is for. In a full-size oven a stone stores heat to make up for a cavity that loses it when the door opens. A countertop oven has elements much closer to the food and recovers quickly on its own, so the gain is smaller than the crack risk suggests it is worth. Metal, glass and what to keep out
Light metal pans are the right default: they heat fast, they are what these ovens are designed around, and they do not shatter. Glass and ceramic work for bakes and casseroles but heat slowly, and the same thermal-shock caution applies — no cold dish into a hot oven. Keep out anything that touches an element: the elements in a countertop oven sit inches from the top rack, so a tall dish or a pan lined with loose foil that can lift is a genuine fire risk, not a theoretical one.
